To mark the 10th anniversary of National Apprenticeship Week, we caught up with our recent intake of apprentices to find out how HESIS life has been so far.
Our three apprentices, Thomas Sung, Morgan Hill and Harry Hodges began their HESIS career in September 2016. During their time with HESIS they have been working alongside qualified and experienced engineers gaining practical experience and skills in fire and security.
This is what the apprentices had to say:
‘This opportunity has been amazing so far. I am able to build my skills, whilst gaining technical knowledge from experienced engineers. It has been really challenging but a great opportunity’ – Thomas Sung
‘HESIS are a great company to work for. I have been able to work on developing many skills’ – Morgan Hill
‘I’m really enjoying my time at HESIS. I’ve worked with many engineers, learning the job and gaining experience. I look forward to my future at HESIS’ – Harry Hodges
National Apprenticeship Week is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy. Barry Juggins, Managing Director said, ‘HESIS is committed to providing apprenticeship opportunities. Apprenticeships offer real life changing opportunities and an alternative route to education. It gives our young people the chance to earn while they learn. I’m very proud of what our apprentices have achieved so far and they should be proud too’.
