The situation around COVID-19 is continuing to change on a daily basis. Tonight our Prime Minister – Boris Johnson has effectively enforced the social distancing measures previously recommended and has given the police powers to fine people and disperse gatherings.
With this in mind, we feel that it’s important to assure you of our commitment to satisfy the requirements of our contracts through the stringent and thorough procedures we have in place.
We are proud to provide services to a number of Critical Infrastructure customers and at this time we recognise the importance of us helping to keep these sites functional. It is more important than ever to keep maintenance and repairs going for fire & life safety, heating and cooling systems within these critical sites. We aim to prioritise these customers when they require our services whilst maintaining a regulatory and compliant service across all our projects.
The message from the Prime Minister is that you can leave your home for “travelling to and from work, but only where this is absolutely necessary and the work cannot be completed from home”.
At HESIS we have already made the steps last week to ensure that all office based personnel are now based and fully operational at home. Our field based engineers have been regularly briefed on social distancing, the 2m rule and the guidance around hand washing and sanitation. They will not ask for signatures on their PDA and we will not ask them to put themselves in a situation where they cannot keep the required distance in place. We hope that you understand these measures and respect the decisions that our engineers will be empowered to make on your premises.
These measures are in place to protect us all.
Our priorities are to function as normal, to continue to service our customers with minimal disruption, and to protect all our staff.
We continue to monitor the communications from Government and health professionals, and we are holding daily conference calls with all senior management to assess our response to the current guidance. Internally we have a robust 4 stage business continuity plan, which mirrors the stages that the government has already outlined, and will follow its advice relative to which stage we are at.
These are uncertain times; we’ve no idea how the virus will spread nor the wider impact on behaviour or economies. What we can guarantee is that – as always – we’re here to help and will be throughout the coronavirus threat and well beyond. Our customers have supported us for 13 years and we will always support you in return.
Whatever help or support you need or concerns you have, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
